St Giles, Thetford, 2BR House

The location is near the town centre.

Disgusting smell from shower room/toilet downstairs in the centre of house and the smell of smoke from bedrooms upstairs. Extremely dangerously steep and narrow stairs. There is no landing or upstairs toilet. Was unable to stay and had to find other accommodation that evening. Unfortunately, in another area!

Instructions for collection of keys had not been received . When contacting host they were abrupt and less than helpful. When we eventually accessed property we found it unsuitable as the stairs were narrow and steep and not suitable for less mobile people. We therefore returned the keys and did not stay in the property.

The property was clean and well presented, close to the town centre and easy to find. It contains most household appliance’s needed for a short stay away. The beds were comfortable and there was WiFi available within this property.

The stairs to the bedrooms were very steep and narrow so may be a problem for people who are less able bodied

Location was excellent as the Red Rooster Festival was only a 5 minute taxis ride away. 2 spacious bedrooms and very clean.

The location is great. Shops and restaurants just a minute walk away. The accomodation provides nice bedrooms. The livingroom could do with a bit more homely look and lighting. We were a bit overwhelmed by the load of instructions featuring all the things we had to do and weren't allowed to do that were given up front. They must have had some negative experiences with previous bookers, but it does kind of work on your "be welcome" feeling after a 14hour journey. Thetford offers great tourist sights, restaurants, pubs and walking routes. Tipping off some of these would be a plus and would make you feel welcome even more.

The house was extremely clean and very well equipped. The location is perfect. Literally, a few minutes walk to the town centre, and all the shops, pubs, restaurants etc. Will definitely be booking again. A very chilled and relaxing weekend break.

There wasn't anything that we disliked. It was an amazing stay.

Good location in the centre of town with free parking. Kitchen was well equipped and clean and tidy. Beds were very comfy and despite it's location was very quiet. Good little bathroom with nice shower. Probably more suited to couples or single people to use as base to explore local area.

I think the stairs may be bit challenging for young children or elderly/infirm. Some people may not like downstairs bathroom.
