Little Barn, Greendale Farm

Fantastic location for walks and days out. The property grounds are lovely to sit and relax by your own private fishing lake. Extending our stay , we enjoyed the holiday that much. I would highly recommend it. The owners were available when needed and were such lovely and helpful hosts. Always available if needed.

The owners were so helpful and made us feel right at home . The gardens and lake are stunning and the little barn was so cute and comfy. It was our one year old Jack Russells first holiday and he was a little yappy when he first met the 3 beautiful resident dogs , but the owners were patient and let him meet them through the week and by the end they got along well.

Absolutely loved my stay here. It's beautiful, peaceful, quiet. The hosts are friendly and responsive. And I loved meeting their sheep, two baby goats, three dogs and kitty. Very good value for money and excellent location. I was very sad to leave.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like. I have one suggestion though: many self-catering properties I have stayed in supply basic items that just about everybody needs in meal preparation. Things like cooking oil, cling film and/or tin foil, paper towels, perhaps a couple of tupperware containers for storing leftovers in the fridge. When people are travelling, they don't want to have to buy, for example, a whole role of tin foil, when they will only be using a very small amount. Supplying a few basic necessities I am sure would be much appreciated by your guests.

The owners are very welcoming. The garden is beautiful. The dogs are very friendly.

If I had to mention one small downside, it would be the proximity to the road and the sound of passing cars — but it didn’t stop us from enjoying our stay.

The location of this property is just awesome. a 15 minute walk down the riverside to the town. The grounds are lovely - including a lake, farm animals and a converted barn. The apartment was fully equipped and comfortable. Two lovely hosts (Gus and Claire) who were extremely helpful and generous. I fished in the little lake which has many roach and several grass carp. Saw my first live Kingfisher while fishing one morning. Lots of other wildlife on view. Highly recommend staying here. I was blown away.

We have just left this gem of a place. Where to start! The property and grounds are stunning, the hosts are exceptionally friendly, and the dogs are beautiful. The barn is so comfortable and quiet. It is so convenient for lovely walks and close to everything you could want or need. I love the private courtyard with our dog, and we could walk the grounds and lake. I would not hesitate to book here again if it is available

Beautiful self contained flat.

I found it hard to come to terms with the up-side-down layout - bedroom and bathroom on ground floor and kitchen and living room on first floor. However, I could see the logic - to admire the views from the first floor windows.

The relaxed atmosphere. The hosts were lovely and very friendly. Showed us around the grounds. Located on the Tarka trail but close to the main town of Barnstaple

Upside down living arrangements in the cottage, the stairs are steep, steps are individually high and wooden with no grip, and we have a midi dachshund who struggled with them a lot
