Location and the setting

Surprised by the level of noise from outsid the property

We were given the freedom of the beautiful grounds. Our home was completely private yet the owners lived next door if we needed anything. I read the reviews which were very possitive but the place was even better. The owners have put so much love and consideration into the property that we felt immediately at home and relaxed on entering. Their, gorgeous cat kept us company in the evenings and their other animals added to our overall experience. Our children used the paddleboard on the lovely pond to add to our pleasure.

Nothing really as everything exceeded expectations. Really wanted to stay longer. Deffinately will return.

Fab location superb hosts fishing lake beautiful everything about this property is fantastic great base for barnstaple cant recommend enough great time had with hosts as friends along with Nala and co xx

Incredible location, right on the Tarka Trail. Hosts were lovely at being able to provide recommendations for meals out and running routes. Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back!

A really special find, everything we could of hoped for, would love to return 😃 Felt very VIP as had it all to ourselves , the outside veranda was superb

The barn was perfect with everything we needed, extra bonus that there was a washing machine too. The garden/lake area was brilliant for the whole family with the adults fishing and children paddle boarding. The owners were friendly and really accommodating.

Angus and Claire were so lovely, helpful and engaging throughout. The whole set-up is geared to relaxation whether on your own or using the shared areas. Little barn was perfect for us.

The location and the friendliness of our host, Angus and their dogs. It was an ideal place to relax with our dog also enjoying it.

Just 2 minor problems. The wi-fi was slow at times which made watching tv streaming difficult. Secondly, the steep stairs were challenging when bringing food and drink downstairs from the kitchen area. Overall, they didn't detract from a lovely weekend's stay

Directions, automatic gate and parking instruction were perfect.
