Christopher had tried to think of everything to make our stay welcoming and comfortable . Lovely , relaxed vibe which we enjoyed. Very comfortable beds. Enjoyed the garden too.

"Amazing stay at the Shire House."

Mary Poppons would say….Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. The Shire House was perfect in every way. Christopher the owner super helpful and friendly. The scones and Gin on the table when we arrived. Dog biscuits, flowers and more 😌. Sitting in the enclosed garden and super dog friendly. Walking to local pub and butcher/shops. Short drive to great beaches. I can highly recommend Shire House.

"A tranquil and homely Cornish beauty"

The Shire House is such a gem, not only is it beautifully decorated but it’s got everything you need to make you feel welcome, relaxed and at home. Christopher is an amazing host, definitely going the extra mile with communication, info and little touches like a bowl of chocolates on arrival! If only all self catering places were this fabulous! best one we have stayed in. we hope to be back. thank you!

"perfect long weekend with the family"

the place was perfect for a family of five and two dogs. The house is amazing and you won’t want to leave it but the info and recommendations provided by our he owner will make sure you see the best parts of that area of Cornwall. the location is perfect. and the village is glorious.
