Somersal Cottages

It was very peaceful and serene. The house was large, with plenty of rooms. Hottub was great. Lots of kitchen equipment made it easy to cater to. The place was not clean enough. There were little bugs in a couple of the baths. One of the baths has a cracked side. This embarrassed me a little as a host. We had people coming from US and Europe.

Our clients told us the beds were not comfortable which is a shame as this was a health retreat. It would have been good to get a good night's sleep. The hob in the kitchen didn't work well. One worked well but others won't stay on which slowed us down on day 1 and on days 2 and 3 we had to start prepping food earlier. The oven was very slow on day 1 and took forever to warm up the cottage pies.

Perfect for our family of 16. Easily accommodated our party in communal spaces I.e. dining area and lounge. Great that all upstairs bedrooms had their own en-suite. Fabulous views. Hot tub highly recommended, one of the highlights for 6 children and their parents- in constant use!

Downstairs 2 bedrooms a bit awkward with up to 7 people sharing 1 bathroom which was also the communal bathroom when everyone was downstairs.

The house was the perfect size for our family trip, with everything needed available. It was lovely and clean, with beautiful well maintained surroundings. It had disabled access for my grandad with a walk in wet room, and was perfect for the children who loved playing and exploring the grounds. It was great for all ages. There was plenty of lounge room/dining space for all of us to be present and comfortable, plus each bedroom had it's own bathroom. It was just perfect.

There was plenty of room for our family get-together consisting of 13 people. The living space provided enough space to all sit down together to eat and to all sit on the couches and the variety of bedrooms which were all en-suite meant that everyone was happy. Outside was lovely also with picnic benches and BBQs. Everything was clean and everything you needed was provided..

Apart from my granddaughter not liking the spiders!!!!! there was nothing we didn't like.

The size was perfect and facilities

Not the property itself but the small narrow country La es to get to it not a lot of passing places in the dark nights this would be a nightmare
