Quiet place up the mountain, 5 min scooter ride from kuta centre. Nice and green, every few days monkeys pass by. The bungalow is built in 'open' style, so expect some gekko's on the wall. No mosque nearby, so no early wake up. John and Umar and his wife are great hosts. We will come back, hopefully soon!

"THE place to stay!"

Everything about Kuta Mountain Bungalows was a dream! The value for money is incredible. We stayed for 5 nights and hired bikes from Umar. It was such a great base for exploring, even though it’s slightly out of town. The bungalows were a haven to come back to after a day at the beach. Really sad to have to leave and can’t wait to return!

Kuta Mountain Bungalows was a nice get away from the busy city centre of Kuta, but still not too far (5 minutes with a scooter). We liked that it was located in green and calm surroundings. There's also a warung were you can have breakfast with a beautiful view (and sometimes, with the company of monkeys). The room was spacious and had a comfortable big bed. Also the bathroom was well equipped. Every day, they came to clean our room. Umar and John helped us out with any questions. You can rent a scooter (with/without surfrack), there is a laundry service, etc. We would definitely recommend staying here.

The wifi connection was not that good. For planning our further trip, we had to go the city centre. At one point, there was a wasp nest at our terrace. Luckily, Umar came right away and the same day, the nest was gone :)

More than your moneys worth. Lovely Little rural bungalows, great location and breakfast and amazing staff. We didn't meet John who was away during our trip, but he kept in contact prior to our stay with relevant info and arranged an airport pick up for us. Would 100% stay again at this little gem.

Fantastic place. Chilled vibe in a beautiful natural setting. Comfy bed, bungalow was cleaned every day. Good value cheap breakfast. The owner John is a lovely guy who goes out of his way to make sure you have a good stay. He can organise trips for you, airport transfers, and you can rent a scooter. Highly recommended.
