Ballyhoura Mountain Lodges

Location and setting were perfect for hiking.

The Lodge was very cold on arrival. The electric heating which you had to pay extra for had to be on all the time to warm the lodge. This was winter time. The average temperature was 12 degrees.

Lovely peaceful location with many nice walks nearby. Great place to switch off & just take it easy. The wood burning stove was great.

Could do with more kitchen utensils. There was an electric mixer but no beaters so we couldn’t whip cream on Christmas Day. There also wasn’t a wine bottle opener so we had to knock on a neighbours to borrow one. Only one days wood supplied for the fire so we didn’t have enough to keep the fire going on Christmas Day which was very disappointing. We managed to find a few bits a pieces outside but they didn’t last long.

Loved the stove as we arrived as storm Darragh was landing.so esb went off but it was lovely the roar of the fire and mad sound of the forest.then climbed into a nice comfy bed .

Nothing Todo with property but the pub in the little village has been closed. So we had to go to next village for bite to eat and drink.

House very cosy and comfortable. All mod cons. Great location. Very quiet. Lovely walks nearby.

Spacious lodge in a peaceful location. Good for a break from the city.

Cold and damp inside. Some areas need deep clean.

Lodge was in a great and very scenic location. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable with all the amenities provided.

A lovely setting for a gathering of friends - quiet location, walking distance to a friendly pub and a nice place to just switch off and relax. Clean house, pet friendly, quiet setting, and loved the wood burning stove.

The decor is a little bit dated, but the house was clean and a bonus that it's a pet friendly location. Kitchen could do with a few more cooking supplies and utensils as it's the type of place you'd cook for yourself in (otherwise you're driving to different areas to eat out etc.)
