Daffodil Lodge

We loved Daffodil Lodge. It is such a beautiful cottage with lots of quaint, pretty touches all over. It is a very spacious lodge, with two very good sized double rooms. The sitting room is very comfortable, and the kitchen has any utensils you could need. The shower was hot and powerful. Mary left lovely goodies for us, and even two little bottles of prosecco! We stayed at the lodge as we were attending a wedding nearby, it was ideal for this, but I would love to go back and spend more time there to just relax. The location is very picturesque. Mary herself was very kind, and didn't mind me hanging around waiting for my lift the next day!

Mary, the owner, is a great host and ensured we feel comfortable throughout. She was reachable even though we were late on day 1. On day 2 she arranged a birthday surprise for my wife. Our family had a wonderful time.

Mary was an excellent communicator and hostess! She had snacks available when we arrived. The information book she provided was very helpful, also! The cottage was lovely and well suited for the 4 of us adults The cottage is off the main road and is situated in a large quiet area that is very peaceful.

No dislikes.

Loads of lovely little touches by the host. It was perfect find for our stay, for a nearby wedding. We all commented that we would love to visit again when we would have move time to spend in the house itself.

A gorgeous little cottage, quaint and perfectly sized for our stay! I loved all the little personal touches. There was no shortage of amenities and useful information!

There were a few flies and bugs but we managed to get rid of these from the rooms. Some to be expected when staying in such a rural area. Nothing we couldn’t handle.

Very cozy and quiet! Loved watching the sheep across the street.

Warmth and hospitality. It is Irish hospitality at its best. Accomodation has so much character and Mary was so helpful. I rarely write reviews like this, but this is such a pleasant exception.

Everything was great. If you are looking for modern, faceless place - it is not a place for you.
