VALIYATH HOLIDAYS HOMESTAY

I could not recommend Valiyath Homestay enough! The Valiyath family welcomed us into their home and cooked delicious meals for our breakfast, lunch and dinners. The Homestay was clean, quiet and a 5 minute walk to the water. They helped us to arrange a boat tour, a sightseeing tour and a rickshaw to our train. We are looking forward to coming back!

We loved the traditional Keralan home cooked food prepared by Mr Sajjayan's wife. It was also great value. Mr Sajjayan was very knowledgeable about the local area and gave excellent tips and advice about activities. He also booked a boating trip for us at a good price. On the last day he arranged for us to go to a local festival at a Hindu temple which was a really unique experience. Our room was clean, comfortable and well situated in a quiet part of the island (please note the a/c is extra). All in all we found the homestay to be very good value. We very much recommend!!.

Everything. Mr Sajjayan and his wife are wonderful hosts, attentive and very kind. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, with A/C if needed. The meals were delicious, I ended having all of them there. The house is in a very calm area, in a charming street not far from the river. Mr. Sajjayan is a great source of information and can give you ideas, or arrange pretty much anything you might need or want to see. For instance, thanks to him I could attend the awesome Poruvazhi Malanada Kettukazcha festival some kilometres away, or hike to beautiful spots around the island. I enjoyed every minute there, including the calm moments of conversation, and overall it made my visit to Monroe Island an even more pleasant and beautiful time. Everything was perfect

The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating! The breakfast was really tasty and filling! The location is beautiful and peaceful. We went on a boat ride through the narrow waterways and to the lake where we saw the mangrove trees and sunset which was organised by the host and was very good value - it exceeded expectations. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and were helpful in telling us about interesting sights to see on the island. It was a lovely relaxing visit!

The building was in a quiet pleasant location. The evening boat ride was lovely. The host was very helpful with travel arrangements to my next destination.

Excellent uppam and chapati but the other food was poor.

+ Peaceful and very nice place + The family was just amazing, we felt like home and like a family member - they were helpful all the time and could organize just everything + The typical Kerala breakfast (included) and dinner (extra cost) were tasty and delicious + The host gave us good hints about Munroe Island what is nice to see and do (like boat trip, walks,...) + It was the best Homestay we stayed while in India :) :) We warmly recommend this Homestay and are planning to come back soon. :) Thanks for just everything.

All was just perfect

we had a lovely stay… the house is very nice, comfortable and clean; the family so welcoming… my friend was feeling sick and they prepared natural medicine for her that helped her a lot…. also delicious kerala’s traditional breakfast and dinner…. house is very close to the river coast, the village is very quiet, lovely people and beautiful landscape…. the perfect place for peaceful and quiet days surrounded by nature and beautiful people ✨
