The family were so lovely, and organised all the trips we wanted to do (kayaking, cycling, canoe boat trip) we were made to feel very welcome and invited into the house. The room was really clean - the cleanest place we've stayed in India and had plenty of space. There were kitchen and washing facilities which we didn't use but were available. The home cooked food was amazing and we ate 4 meals over our 2 days there with them. We were helped with train times too as we left and Sajjayan even checked in that we'd made it to our next stop! We'd definitely reccommend staying here!

Needing to hand in the house key to the family each time we left was a little strange! Just made us feel we couldn't just pop out for a little walk without letting you know. I don't know if there's an alternative if you need the key (e.g. having a key box to leave it in so you can access the building if guests are out?) The meals were delicious and the family stayed around to chat which was lovely, but it did feel a little like we were being watched over at times. We didn't mind this too much but it might make some people feel uncomfortable being watched by a whole family whilst eating (especially when you're trying your best to eat with your hands and sometimes failing 😅)

Everything. Literally, everything! It was such a pleasure to be at this homestay. The homestay was clean, pretty and comfortable. The hosts were so good to us. They also provided us with meals, which tasted really great. Along with that, we didn't have to book or look for canoe or autos. They arranged the canoe tour for us and transportation as well. Apart from being so helpful and resourceful, they were so polite and humble, we just loved it! Totally recommend!

We have no words to express the hospitality of Sajjayan and his lovely family, they were very kind to us making us feel like their own family, always ready to help us, flexible and respectful. the homemade food they prepared for us was delicious! The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom of good quality. Access to the common areas such as the living room and kitchen. It really is the perfect place to stay on the island.

It was a pleasant stay and the house owner n wife were quite comfortable to deal with.... They were also helpful in arranging boat ride and provided us with good food ..

Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner..It's a great place to stay. The home cooked Breakfast was also yummy...(Thanks for the Aunt)The rooms were a little bit small, but comfortable... We loved the ambience..
