Best located and beautifully renovated cottage

The cottage is lovely. Quirky, characterful and well maintained.

The lack of loo roll in either of the bathrooms could have caused issues. But, the cottage is so close to the town centre, purchasing some wasn't a problem.

Very character full…nice space to sit outside and good to have 2 bathrooms James : he was very patient and gentle at a difficult time for us

The stairs were a little difficult to navigate but well lit and there was no freezer ( one fridge out of action ) the mugs and glasses were sparse

It was such a shame about the cleanliness, This lovely host and property was let down by the cleaners.

The location was very convenient and house is good size

Currently being renovated but not in a condition to be stayed in, dishwasher clogged with a bad smell, cleanliness was below par examples being the bathrooms not being deep cleaned, a used cigarette on the carpet in living room and the oven was greasy and stained. The back door didn’t open which is a safety hazard if there was a fire. I booked the property last minute a few days prior but even with the time frame I would expect any holiday home to have a certain standard to meet and this sadly wasn’t it. Did the job of a house but not of a cozy holiday home.

Unfinished renovations whereas described as ‘beautifully renovated’ Kitchen smelt due to dirty dishwasher Didn’t feel safe to sit downstairs after dark with lights on as no curtains 2/3 of toilet roll in lower toilet none in upstairs bathroom. Check in instructions provided by email on booking different to provided by message and keys were for front door even though said for back door owner said didn’t know where back keys were which added to feeling of unsafeness
