SaffronStays Milton Abbott Estate - 2BR colonial-era bungalow with garden, golf course views & bonfire nights near Ooty Golf Club

Had a great couple of days staying at Milton Abbott. It's a well preserved colonial era property straight out of a novel or period film. The caretaker Mr Lionel and his team of staff were very kind and friendly. The cosy fireplace in the living room (which is a common area inside the property) was the highlight for me. Would love to visit again for a longer stay and would highly recommend this place to others.

The hosts make it all worth it. Warm and hospitable as always.

The best property in ooty, which was built in 1864 well maintained, safe, food was amazing by Mr. Alvin, Gokul and Uday helped a lot for comfortable stay.. Property is as shown in the pictures.. beautiful and spacious … amazing for family,frnds in group, and couple.

Well, what can I say? You are so lucky to stay in a British heritage bungalow of more than 150 years old. Every inch of this property is mind blowing the wooden floors, the old tall ceilings, the fireplace, the carpets, the rules, dining table, the lawns the open areas, the heater in the room Antique furniture’s basic amazing, remarkable courteous, helpful staff, not to mention the five star chef who prepared the items so beautifully that I had to eat although I am a strict diet. This was one of my best trips ever  Also the food was remarkably cheaper compared to what we are used to in Mumbai. If at all I come back to Ooty which I must say is the most lovely hill station I’ll definitely stay again in Milton Estate

The rooms were large and comfortable with double beds. The food was excellent with the chef preparing some wonderful dishes for all 3 meals, breakfast, lunch & dinner. The caretaker person Uday was very prompt in meeting any requirements which made for an overall comfortable & pleasant stay.

The rooms can be made a bit more airy for a better experience.

The property is beautiful. Staff is really hospitable.

The rooms were not maintained properly. Linen was dirty and not even sufficiently provided. The carpets were dusty and lacked cleanliness. Over priced for the facilities and cleanliness.
