great place!

Really picturesque house on the side of a hill right in font of Ella rock. Calm and appeasing environment slightly out of Ella. Great effort on decoration to make the place truly unique. The best food I had in a 3 weeks stay in Sri Lanka. The host and her family are also very touching. Great value for money.

The stay was amazing. It is cery calm and peacuful, you wake up to the jungle. The room was very nicely decorated and the host is a very lovely lady. One of the best breakfast we had!

The owner Lucky was very eager and friendly and did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. She made breakfast according to our wishes (we loved the hoppers!), made dinner instead of breakfast one day, prepared some food for our little puppy and helped whenever needed. The location is mostly quiet, far enough from the noisy main street of Ella. You can walk down and up, but it takes 20-30min. We rented a scooter for some of the days and with that it was very comfortable.

Unfortunately there was no kitchen as I expected from reading the facilities in the property description. But upon asking the host provided an electric stove plate and some pots so at least it was possible to prepare some simple things. An electric kettle for tea was there as well.

Lucky is a wonderful host, so kind and helpful. Her cooking is excellent and the big breakfasts set us up for a busy day of walking. The view from the balcony is lovely and the trees are full of monkeys and bird life. Very clean and tidy with a pretty little garden.

The property could do with a bit of tlc and some more lighting. There are a few little things to fix but overall for the price a very good deal and a lovely hostess.

A big thank you to Lucky, the owner, who makes the stay at Biwon exceptional. Her smile and laughter are delightful! She is helpful with ideas on where to go and how best to get there. Breakfast was delicious and different every day, as was dinner. We even 'helped' prepare the meal one night! The room is simple but cozy. Sitting on the comfy chairs on the balcony and enjoying the view is a great way to wind down at the end of the day...or start a new one.

The owner is exceptional very friendly continually smiling very good breakfast and dinner. A great place to stay. Out of town but plenty of tuk tuks

The lady of the house is very kind and helpful.The family lives on the other side of the street and that's where you become your very good breakfast. For whatever you need you can app or call the lady and she brings you. She even did our laundry for a small amount. We saw squirrels birds and monkeys from our balcony. Very good value for the money.
