Mistletoe Cottage

Location was lovely. Peaceful but accessible to everything. Accommodation was very clean.

It was perfect. Nothing additional could have been done.

We only have good things to say about this cottage: it has room, it has all the amenities, it has a charme, and it was extremely clean & tidy. Completely equipped kitchen, 2 bath rooms, spacious rooms with lots of storage space, car parking in front, a quiet neighbourhood, a nice small garden out of sight from the street, ... The cottage is packed with information of things to do in the vicinity. There's a small supermarket at a 5' drive with very good opening hours, and you're very close to big roads leading to York (15' to the nearest Park & Ride) and surroundings. All exchanges with Jayne were very pleasant and warm - you can feel she really wants you to be at home there.

Lovely cottage with everything we could have wanted. Great spaces inside and out to socialise. Well equipped kitchen. Everything was high quality and comfortable. Great location for York and Yorkshire. Friendly welcoming hosts.

The location of the place was very nice, it looked something from a film, everything was so "british" just like you would expect. The host was very welcoming and helpfull.

I had not booked enought days, i could have stayed there longer :)

Beautifully presented cottage. Additional bonus was a lovely garden, including BBQ. Everything was provided that you needed, and little food extras provided were a lovely touch. Hosts were very friendly and informative about the local area. Couldn't ask for anything more really.

Wonderful property, everything pristine, Host was friendly welcoming and accommodating. Location brilliant to explore all of York and North Yorkshire.

The beds a little too soft for my taste, this did not mar the experience though and of course this is just personal preference and it would be impossible to cater for all with this. It also not stop me booking again

The property has the perfect layout for us, a double on suite downstairs for my mother and a double and a twin upstairs for myself and my two daughters. The cottage was spotlessly clean, not a mark anywhere. The kitchen was really well equipped, lots of mugs and dishes, baking trays, ovenware etc. there were eggs, milk and butter in the fridge, ice in the freezer, tea, coffee and sugar, salt, pepper, oil etc. There was a cupboard filled with cleaning supplies and washing detergent/ dishwasher tablets. The bathrooms had hand soap, shampoo and shower gel. There was also board games and stationery. The area is lovely and quiet and a short drive to a park and ride that takes you into York. We like to have movie nights and the sofa was easily big enough for four of us to spread out and watch Netflix.

There wasn’t anything not to like, you can tell the owners have put a lot of effort into making the cottage a home from home. The only thing that would make it perfect would be blackout blinds/curtains but that’s just a personal preference.
