Very easy to find,simple check in procedure when you pick up the keys from the lock box. Literally 5 mins walk maximum from the location into the fringes of the main city of York, and only 20 minuts or so from the tain station as well. Clean, well maintained property with everything you need in the kitchen including a snazzy coffee machine! Bedrooms were spacey and comfortable; mattresses were super soft which was fine for me. Bathroom shower was lovely with a great water pressure as well.

Nothing really! I suppose if you were planning on staying in for the evening the TV 'might' be a little small but we had planned to use the house as a base and we found it perfect to have on as background noise with a cuppa late at night. My partner does prefer an upstairs bathroom but for space I thought it worked really well - there's nothing about this property I wouldn't recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely 2-bedroom house near York City Centre. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the heart of York, making it easy to explore everything the city has to offer. The host was excellent with communication from the moment we booked, and we were able to access the house early using the key lock, which was incredibly convenient. We were also allowed to check out at 3pm which meant we could spend more time exploring York. The parking situation was clearly explained to us, and it was hassle-free. We parked at the nearby Black Horse pub, just a 2-minute walk away, and it only cost £10 for two nights – a great deal! The street itself was wonderfully quiet, and the beds were super comfortable, ensuring we had a restful stay. A lovely, thoughtful touch was the prosecco and nosecco left in the fridge for us (for one of our pregnant guests), which made our arrival even more special. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again the next time we are in York. 5*

If we had one small piece of feedback, it would be that a parking permit would have been the icing on the cake - but it was absolutely not essential as the parking at the Black Horse Pub was cheap and close to the property (2 minute walk).

Great location, close to city centre but quiet, very clean, good communication from owner, everything you need.
