The Old Carriage House

Really easy to walk into town and also on the route of the hop on buses which was handy with children. The property itself is really nicely laid out and has good sized rooms. It had everything we needed.

The ensuite bathroom towel rail was stuck on full permanently which made our room quite warm. Otherwise it was a lovely property.

I am completely in love. My stay was incredible.

Very comfortable beds, not so much the sofa. Great location too, although the information sheets need updating as we went looking for a Sainsbury's that no longer exists. All in all I would recommend for a few days but it needs some TLC.. could do better 😜

Great location, just a short walk from the town centre. The cottage had everything we needed for our 3-day stay. The bedrooms were great size for a cottage, parking easy with a permit and kitchen, living room functional. All in all, we had a great stay.

The house and location were amazing. We loved being so close to the city centre and the cleanliness of the property. The master bedroom was very comfortable The house, despite being old and fitting for the area, was modernised inside. The bathrooms and kitchen were quite to our liking.

Despite the WiFi signal being strong, the internet package for the house was far too slow. Only one person at a time was able to stream media on their phone, and the TV would constantly buffer if we watched it at the same time. Additionally, the parking permit could not be used due to neighbours' terrible parking. Large vans and SUVs took up the space outside the house, meaning that we had to pay for overnight parking nearby (£4 if you pick up your car before 8am) On one occasion, where we had back pain, the mattress was too soft to support us, and the pillows were rather flat.
