Central property with free parking, 10 min walk to Bar Walls

Lovely decor, comfortable beds, nice garden and off road parking for a car. Quiet area only a 10 to 15 minute walk into the beautiful city of York.

No bath, only a shower

The beds were really comfy. Shower was lovely! Location is perfect.

Would have liked an alternative to the feather pillows as my little one is quite sensitive to them.

It was tastefully decorated and very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and a lovely garden. It was a twenty minute walk to the city centre and there were good local facilities. The host was easy to communicate with with and was very helpful. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it.

This house is beautiful! We were a group of five friends and it was a great size to accommodate us all. It's on a quiet residential street so no outside noise at all. The rooms and beds were comfortable and roomy. All equipment you might need was included such as hairdryers, irons, all kitchen utensils etc. It really felt like a home from home. The location was great, a 20-25 minute walk from the house or 5 minute uber costing less than £5 (before midnight, £10-£12 after midnight). The host was brilliant and very easy to contact, they gave excellent recommendations beforehand and there was a useful folder in the house with more details in. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would recommend for both families and small groups of friends.

I am struggling to find anything I didn’t like about the property, but if I had to say something it would be that I prefer a shower upstairs but that’s only because that’s what I’m used to

Easy to park our 2 cars off road, and an only a 20 minute scenic walk into the centre. A taxi back cost £6/7 so a reasonable price. Bedrooms are a lovely size and the beds are very comfortable. We were a party of two couples, but the house would also suit a family. Bedding a towel lovely and fresh. The garden is absolutely gorgeous and must be a great bonus especially in the summer and for families. The host was great with communication and sent lots of helpful advice prior to our trip, and very generously provided a bottle of wine and a bottle of milk in the fridge when we got there. Toiletries and provided in the shower, which was lucky as we had forgotten to bring any. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen, but we couldn’t see any instructions on hand.

We didn’t feel safe walking back, as some of the route is through an unlit wooded area, but the area itself is fine, we met the neighbours, and they are lovely. The ground floor has a good sized lounge, with 2 large sofas, but these weren’t very comfortable to watch tv. We also struggled to find anything on the tv. There is a kitchen diner, which is on the small side, and a bit cramped, but the hosts make good use of the size available to them, and is adequate size for a quick breakfast for 4. We also struggled with the Cooker, but maybe that’s just us.
