Holiday Homes in York

Location was lovely. A little walk into the town but lovely to go past Bishy Shops as all are independent and thriving. Nice walk along the river. I was a little worried, prior to arrival, as had seen a review saying only a 2 hob table top cooker top to use for pans in a large house not being ample, but this has obviously been but this has obviously been acted on as there was a fully working cooker and oven and plenty of kitchen crockery and utensils. plenty of room for the whole family as we were celebrating mums 80th. Would definitely go back and would not hesitate to recommend.

Fan above the cooker didnt work (couldnt find any controls or switches for it) and couldnt open kitchen windows to let out steam, etc. whilst cooking. The electric tripped late on second evening but couldn't find fuse box. These are things that are not detrimental to my recommendation as fuses tripping are a thing that cant be foreseen.

Lots of ensuites and a roomy living room and kitchen meant there was plenty of space for all of us!

Slightly wobbly beds. The electric showers were a bit weak.

Very easy, the hosts had explained where the keys where and how to get to them

I really don’t like to complain but I didn’t think the floors had been swept.

Good simple instructions to get the keys from the lockbox. Instructions for everything you need are in the house. Great location, we used taxi daily to get to town centre but it is walkable for able bodied people. We did walk to a lovely Indian restaurant on Bishopthorpe Road. Everything you could need is in the house.

There was nothing about this property that we didn't like.

WiFi disappeared completely for hours. Long time to wait for a response from owners
