Holiday Homes in York

Nice and roomy. Everything you needed for comfortable stay was provided. Directions to the property were exactly stated. Extra info hosts provided was welcomed.

We used the washing machine but could not find instructions.

The house is spotlessly clean and so comfortable. It is very well equipped and has everything you need for a short break or holiday. It is a 15 minute walk into town just far enough away to be quiet. There's even a park across the road if you have little ones.

No direct parking outside but we did unload and park nearby.

The location was perfect. A 10 minute stroll to the city centre.

This was the perfect location for 7 of us meeting up in the lively city of York. Plenty of room, nicely furnished and we all slept well. Very convenient for walking into the centre. Nearby Bishopthorpe Road is full of independent eating/drinking places and shops. We managed to find parking quite near to the house using Your Parking Space.

The house is clean, spacious, homely and comfortable. Everything seems newly painted and decorated. The living room area is spacious with 2 comfy sofas and the kitchen is also spacious and well stocked with lots of crockery and utensils, a large toaster, coffee machine etc. It's lovely to have a table and chairs and a couple of plants in the yard at the front. The bedroom with bunk beds is quite small but ok. The beds are comfortable, 2 bedrooms have plenty of storage. The bathrooms both looked new with clean and well functioning toilet, shower and basin. There is lots of information on the area and we felt a lot of thought has been put into what guests might like. A few tea bags, coffee pods and other things were provided and we also appreciated the very nice chocolate biscuits.

The doors to the bedrooms and bathrooms don't stay completely shut, making it hard to avoid disturbing each other. This would perhaps be easily fixed. They are also not lockable which didn't matter for our group. Maybe something to make the outside space more private would be good as it's at the front of the house. The window in the largest bedroom doesn't stay open - maybe it could be fixed or temporarily something provided to keep it open.

Lovely location and really well designed house and facilities. Hosts were very kind and accommodating.

The house was home from home, had everything you would need for a lovely stay. We ate out for most of the weekend however the home does supply adequate provisions to eat at the house. Very comfortable bedrooms all with en-suite. Downstairs toilet next to the living area.

Cant think of anything that we didn't like

Comfortable settees and a kitchen table big enough for meals and boardgames. The problem with the TV remote was sorted quickly. Easy route walking from the station and into town. Convenient shops and restaurants nearby. Quiet area. Plenty of crockery and glasses. Near to some lovely green spaces.

Upstairs bathroom needs hooks for clothes and the light was only on if the extractor fan was on. A chair as well as the stool in the bedroom would be nice. Downstairs bathroom couldn't lock. Not a problem for us but property is not step free.
