Lovely inside, clean, well laid out, spacious, near the pond so the ducks and swans were visible.

The beds weren’t beds it was literally a bad of springs. The staff at the food area were not attentive at all. 4 members of staff and we managed to get one drink in 45 mins and left and didn’t order food.

Peace lodge is what it says on the tin! Beautiful setting with lake and fountains around, proper place to relax. JJ’s is fabulous with excellent food - humongous portions. The staff are really friendly and have to say Jo (server at JJ’s) was the best, exceptional service

Not so much not liking however the mattresses weren’t comfy and could feel springs through them

Lovely decor and location.

Definitely not a luxury lodge. Wrong number for key box and doors open on arrival was the first problem. No extra bedding left for sofa bed even though it was asked. Double bed and sofa bed very uncomfortable, can feel the springs when lying down. The hot tub 🙁 barely able to use due to it being constantly cold and unfilling. Rang reception nearly 10 times over 2 days and took hours for problem to be sorted. Our first full day we couldn’t use the hot tub until 6pm! Really disappointed, won’t be retuning.

We've stayed at this resort before. Lodge was okay but was expecting better.

Not sure I'd book a privately owned lodge again, beds weren't very comfortable, nor was the sofas. Cushions on outside furniture were damp and started to have mould on them. Shouldn't be left out this time of year. Will cost the owner money to replace. Shower wasn't great, shower head wouldn't stay upright. Plus we had no bath towels or bath robes so had to pop back to reception to ask as noone was available to speak to on the phone.
