"Fantastic cosy and comfortable getaway"

Lovely well kept property, really well stocked kitchen and great amenities. It is just a short walk from the city centre and has a few local shops and restaurants nearby. The house is very warm and cosy and you could tell the thought and effort the hosts have put in to ensure a comfortable stay.

The stairs are quite steep as other reviews have mentioned although this was not a huge issue during our stay and to be expected with the age of the property.

The kitchen equipment was excellent. Lots of storage space in the bedrooms. Smart bathroom furniture. Walking distance from York centre.

The stairs and landing were narrow and steep. They could present a danger. This should be mentioned in the online description. The hot water pressure in the bathroom was poor.

Fantastic property! My partner and I had an amazing time staying there, felt like a home away from home, would definitely stay again!

The shower was a little cold initially and took some fiddling to get warm but was fine after that.

It is close to the city and clean

Overall a nice property and could be a great one with a few improvements. Stairs are step and needs a handle on the top step. Heating seems to make a noise through the night in the main room. Hot water is very slow and it takes for ever to fill up the bath, sink bowl and lacks power in the shower. Top door lock is so difficult to lock and open Key safe is difficult to operate

The location was on a nice quiet street, just a 10-minute walk from the town centre.

The house could have been better cleaned. We found dirty socks behind the double bed, which should have been noticed if they had cleaned the house better when the previous users left, along with cobwebs in the bathroom.
