Lotus Lodge with Hot Tub

good location, nice and warm. Very pleasant grounds.

Bed was too hard, smoke alarm kept on going off, some loud noisy neighbours (but not the lodges fault)

No information in lodge about use of oven etc.just got handed piece paper which lodge I was in. No information about things to do in the area hot tub and veranda could of done with clean

Nice Location

We stayed here as a family at the Portrush 1 lodge (which was really a static caravan). Our first impressions were that the park and lodges looked lovely. However, our perceptions changed when we saw the filthy condition of the lodge and linen. The toilet had been used and wasn't flushed. There was a brown stain on the single duvet and a dirty stain on the bed sheet. The bed sheets had holes in them. The towels were frayed and brown stained and shouldn't have been reused. The bottom shelf of the drawer unit in the twin room had a sticky residue which when wiped with a tissue looked like grease (see photos). The kitchen hob back splash was used and greasy with food left on it. The counter top surface hadn't been cleaned. There was an oven grill still in the dishwasher. After complaining to reception, two cleaning ladies came to the lodge to change the linen although for some reason they left the bugs! They did their best to play down the issues but the damage had already been done. TLDR: The filthiness of the lodge on handover marred our stay as were worried about using anything in case it was unclean. This is definitely not what you expect from a "luxury retreat".

Fantastic lodge. Peaceful site, super clean. No issues, check in was over 30 seconds. Little additions like dishwasher tablets were really helpful! Everyone we came across on site was super lovely. The hot tub was hot on arrival (to my 8 year olds delight!) Would definitely recommend this lodge and will 100% stay again! 5*****

The ONLY thing that was a little disappointing was having no verandah/cover on the deck, particularly the hot tub. This meant we had to dart for cover every 10 mins when the winds and rains started. I appreciate from photos this is very evident...but if the lodge owners were ever to add this, I think it would make it even more perfect than it already is. Lack of wouldn't prevent me staying again! 😊
