The Bishy, York city centre & free parking

The property was well sized and decorated. Was so handy having 2 bathrooms too.

The neighbours, they constantly stood at the windows watching you come and go - often with a less than friendly look on their face.

Generally, there was a good level of decor and it was in a good location in proximity to the City.

There is only 1 parking permit, which allows you to park in the street. If you have more than 1 car, there are numerous parking restrictions in the area, meaning you need to pay to use a local car park. The en-suite shower room had a couple of small ‘decor’ issues with poor finishing and the shower cubicle itself needed to be cleaned better. We didn’t use the shower itself the first night as we couldn’t get it to work. We called the owner the next day who said it was stiff. On trying again, we managed to turn it on, but the mechanism is definitely broken and needs repair or replacing.

The landlord is very friendly and helpful to solve our problems. The equipment is quite comprehensive

The shower head of the bedroom is hard to use and some small techniques to use the equipment are not informed in advance, so there are some struggles around checking in and using the door locks, thermostats.

10/15 mins walk from the centre of York, very clean, had everything we needed, the decor was lovely it was a perfect stay in York!

The Bishy is beautifully decorated - It has everything you need - The beds are especially comfortable and high quality bedding for a great nights sleep. You have parking right outside the door which is a massive bonus for a city stay. The street the Bishy is on Is quiet and your only a few minutes walk away from shops and amenities - walking into town is easy but the taxis in York are so reliable if you need one. This is a great property for a stay in York it was our second stay here and will definitely be booking again as it’s so comfortable and great location. Neil the owner couldn’t be more helpful and on hand if you have any questions or information- Just a great experience and professional service couldn’t recommend a better stay.
