Fox Lodge with Hot Tub

Layout, security and lovely overall setup property.

Lack of cleanliness. Couch needs. A good clean to remove stains. We had to get maintenance in a couple of times to repair things which were done quickly. Mould in shower, possibly a slip mat for the shower over the bath. Just a little disappointing 😞

The lodge has everything, we had an amazing time and the hottub was awesome, And a big thanks to Ciaren who topped up the hottub what a lovely guy, we couldn’t have asked for a better few days away.

Good location, peaceful and quiet.

The location was perfect, quiet with grass for the children. Spacious rooms. Dishwasher. Washing machine. Good layout. Washing up liquid, toilet roll provided.

We arrived to a broken sofa bed so spent a night sleeping on the floor. The bathroom floor was dirty including an old deodorant bottle, the bathroom shower ran cold, both bathroom radiators were disgusting. Crumbs in the cupboard, noodles in the sofa. No glass tumblers. Plastic cups all very used. 7 not 8 forks. Stains on 3 towels. Strawberries left on grass outside.

The Lodge was lovely and perfect for what we required, lovely size and more than adequate for what we needed

We had booked 2 nights this was a 40th birthday celebration, 1st night was lovely. however on the Saturday at around 11.30am the electric went off, this really impacted our stay as we were getting ready to go into York and some of the group had no chance to shower/were in the middle of showering with no way of using hairdryers etc to get ready. We were told initially it would be off for a couple of hours so we hung around hoping it would come on so we could finish getting ready. It got that late it kind of ruined the 2nd day, The electric eventually came back on around 3.15pm but again was short lived as it went off again not long after and didn't come back on until 9.22pm, We had food that was destroyed as it had defrosted. Now we did hear this was not the first occurrence of the electric going off this year so you would think they would have an infrastructure in place for this happening, but they had nothing even reception closed so we had no answers to any questions we had

We loved the location and the serenity of the place. Was such a lovely stay. Loved the use of the hot tub as well.

The only thing we didn't like was finding a pair of children's knickers in one of the bedrooms, not ideal at all.
