Historic House in the Heart of York City Centre with Free Parking

It was our second stay at this property, great location in York with several good restaurants nearby. The house has great modern bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen etc.

The garden/yard could do with a little love

Great location. The gas fire was a real bonus. Good to have three bathrooms. Well laid out. Well hoovered. Spacious - particularly for three people. The letting agent was responsive and friendly when we complained but the offer of a bottle of prosecco did not really counteract our feeling that the property was expensive and a bit tired. Could easily be made much more welcoming and we hope this will happen

1. Main problem was that the door of the shower cubicle fell off onto one of us. Very heavy and could have hurt someone, particularly a child or older person. No response when we left a message - though the letting agent did come back to me later and did the best she could. 2. Smell of drains in the bathroom. 3. Pretty unwelcoming after a long journey. Some milk, relevant coffee pods, biscuits and possibly a welcome card would have made a difference.

The accommodation is nice, well-located, and very close to the main attractions in the city centre. The place was clean and overall comfortable.

There is a serious issue with rats in the courtyard, and at night you can hear them on the roof and inside the walls of the attic room. Additionally, the lack of air conditioning can be uncomfortable, especially during warmer days.

Great location, lovely and bright and clean

The property was clean, tidy and nicely furnished/decorated. It was in quite a good location with plenty of restaurants on the doorstep.

The garden/ yard to the rear of the property could do with a tidy up.
