Great location and beautiful house with plenty of space for four people. Great facilities and had everything we needed (toiletries, kitchen utensils, etc).

My adult son and I were travelling together. It was wonderful to be living in an authentic Japanese home in Kyoto. Fantastic location, walking distance to Gion, the river, the shops and Nishiki Market, train and bus stations. Supermarket five mins away.

We loved it but perhaps not suitable for those not comfortable sitting on the floor. If stairs are too difficult you do not need to use upstairs bedrooms.

The two story townhouse was perfectly located on walking distance to the shopping center and lots of restaurants. The whole house was cozy and very comfortable and clean. Really fun to stay in this traditional and comfortable house.

Location is very good, rooms are bigger and better than expected with extra quilts and mattress.

Everything is perfect! Amazing traditional house. 2 big beds and 1.5 bathrooms. Washing and drying machine.

There’s nespresso coffee machine but only 2 capsules - i knew it would be and brought my own capsules from US. Also, this house probably not for older people - no chairs and the bedroom on the second floor, which were fine with us.

Very traditional Japanese home. Not particularly comfortable however for we elderly (but very mobile) senior citizens. Seating at table was very low (although traditional). No toaster, no iron, both would have been helpful .

I never stayed in a Japanize house before, so have nothing to compare this one with, but I found it beautiful. It is spacious, everything inside looked new, and it smelled good. The futon was very comfortable. There is a toilet and a sink on each of the two floors, which is very convenient. My stay was in August, so it was very hot outside. In the house there are air conditioners in every room, so that one could escape the heat. The staff in the hotel where one collects the keys was very helpful and they could speak good English. I would recommend to have the luggage sent from the hotel to the house if you arrive before check-in time. It cost me only 300 Yen.

For some reason, water both in the kitchen and in the bathroom wouldn't really get warm after turning the system on. It didn't disturb me much because it was in the Summer. I could, e.g. wash my hair without problems. Yet I stayed in an apartment in Tokyo earlier, and there water got warm very quickly after you pressed the power button. I told the staff about this issue that day before I left, so I understand that there was no time for them to do anything about it. Yet I suspect that other guests faced this problem as well. It is a traditional house, so that you supposed to sit on the floor. I am not used to that, so I had to sit on the stairs that lead to the second floor. Fortunately, there were two thick decorative pillows on the two beds which I used in order to sit on them. I think one could make more pillows available in the leaving room.

Superb location, a brand new-interior spacious townhouse with everything you can think of, two double beds, big traditional tatami room with super comfortable futons and fluffy blankets, small but well equipped kitchen, family room and the shower- you will not get enough of it. You are also provided with everything you need, ropes, slippers etc. all very cozy and nice. The stuff at the main hotel were all very kind and helpful, contacted us in advance to make sure we’re fine as the typhoon was approaching Kyoto. We loved our stay!!

1. Only a single hanger to hang towels in the shower or the entire apartment. I assume its an oversight but has to be corrected. 2. The entrance- for some reason the floor is very dusty/ or its fresh cement coming of the wall. You anyway take your shoes there and get into your slippers, but this is notable.

Fantastic living in a classic Kyoto townhouse. Near to Nishiki Market and a lot of great restaurants.

We got to experience living in a true Japanese tatami house in historic city of Kyoto. The facility was very clean and comfortable.
