Kyoto Villa Chiyotsuru

The decor was fun - lots of travel advice from previous residents, but also a nice little library of guidebooks and (English-translated) manga. Easy access to public transportation (bus and subway), plenty of good food options nearby, and enough kitchen gear to cook at home if you want. Once the house is warmed up, the heaters do a good job of keeping it warm. Our family of 4 had plenty of space to stretch out.

I’m pretty clever with technology and good at following directions, but trying to get the water heater to work in a consistent way almost reduced me to tears. Even when it worked, I couldn’t get the water warm enough for me. Street noise and drafts will make you think you left a window open.

The location is simply perfect - a short walk to all the important spots, yet in a quiet and authentic neighborhood. The house itself felt like a real home rather than just accommodation - warm, welcoming, and with everything needed to feel comfortable. A wonderful experience!

晚上會聽到出邊街經過的人聲音，毛巾不是每天更換。但屋主可以每兩天更換一次。
