"A quaint traditional stay."

It's close to businesses such as restaurants, buses and train stations as well as attractions. Wifi is strong and available, shower is strong, and water pressure is great. We had a comfortable stay, owner is very responsive. A good experience for a traditional Japanese house.

Steep Stairs and handrail is loose on the top.

Location- A minute from metro station and all shops like 7/11, family mart and big supermarket made our Kyoto exploring very easy Authentic - a chance to live in authentic Japanese house

"Cozy small place but very cold in winter."

Cozy place

The house was persistently cold, regardless of how many layers we wore. There’s no proper heating system only air conditioning and some gas heater that can be only turned on for an hour. Water in the shower is never at comfortably hot temperature, it’s just lukewarm at best. All these facts together, we were freezing in the house, even when we were sleeping.

Fabulous location , very comfortable warm and cosy! Nice feel for an authentic Japanese home environment, nice high pressure shower!

Would have been a nice touch to have coffee and tea. The railings on the doors at top of stairs were a bit fragile !
