Traditional japanese house that add travel experiences. Good base for family to prepare meals and getting ready.

The place has a traditional Japanese home kind of atmosphere. The futon was so warm that it helped us warm ourselves on a very cold night.

Excellent location, fantastic house. Convenient to everything you want or could need. James, the owner, goes above and beyond to help you enjoy your stay at the house and time in kyoto. His guidebook on what buses to take to attractions was incredibly helpful, and the wall map to show what attraction is in which direction. The 3 bedrooms upstairs allowed our family of 5 to have space, and the upstairs and downstairs toilet was very helpful. The house is located from the west exit at kyoto station, near JR office and trains.

The host was very helpful and thorough during checkin. We also appreciated the help we got during our luggage and package deliveries. The house was beautiful, clean and well equipped. Location was also perfect and was a short walk from Kyoto station. The area had good amenities, including convenience stores, car rental and restaurants.

As heavier people, we found the floor mattresses to be not as comfortable as we'd hoped. This is really a minor thing to bring up and was still a good experience to try. It would be fine for people who are not heavyset like we are.

Everything necessary was there and rooms are spacious, location is too good

Location was excellent! Only a 5 minute walk from the Kyoto station. Could walk to most of the major sights. We were a group of 7 and found the facilities to be very comfortable.
