Superbe vue sur Pico ! Le logement était très propre et bien équipé, Gisela a été très accueillante et sympathique, excellent séjour.

A lovely house in a great location, superb view over Velas town and over the sea towards Pico. Very helpful friendly owners.

Nothing at all to dislike. The access road is very steep (walking to and from the town or driving), and narrow (for driving), but we were aware and prepared for that - and good to have a parking space.

Lovely and friendly host! Amazing view of Pico and overlooking Velas. Location was great. Very quiet and private location.

A bit unnerving driving into property but only the first time!!!! Don't let that keep you from staying here. Big bed was pretty hard for us. We took soft toppers from twin beds and put on top. Much better and we slept well.

The friendliness and helpfulness of Gizela the owner. Nothing was too much trouble. The house was very well equipped. The best thing was the amazing view of Velas and over to Pico. Sao Jorge is a really beautiful unspoilt island with very friendly people.

Nothing really but be aware that the walk up from town is very steep and the drive down to the property is very steep too. However, the views make up for it. Be aware that Waze and Google try to take you to the bottom of the street, but it is no entry, whereas you need to enter at the top.

The house has an amazing view and everything one may need. The host Gisela is very kind and caring. She had great tips for local experiences and it was also very clear that she cares about the houses and it’s surrounding. The house is part of Velas but little above on the hill. Velas is reachable by foot in 5 minutes downhill and maybe 15-20 minutes uphill.

Location was fabulous, perched up above Velas with a view of the town and across the water to the island o Pico and its 7700’ volcano. A short (but quite steep) 5 minute walk to town. The cottage was immaculately clean and had all necessary appliances and amenities, including a clothes washing machine. Our host was exceptional - friendly, helpful, and available if we had any needs or questions.

Our only complaint was that the queen bed in the main bedroom was rather tired - clean, but the mattresses and pillows could do with replacement.
