Liz was so friendly and welcoming. She has thought of all of the little details that make all the difference. The goodie hamper with a cornish cream tea on arrival went down extremely well, it was a perfect start to our little break. The cottage is beautiful, comfortable and was nice and cool during the heatwave we experienced whilst in Cornwall. We had everything we needed for a restful stay. The location is perfect for day trips to the beach or to the woods. The pub up the road (The Victoria) does nice food - service isn't that great though, so dont expect much other than a nice meal. The pictures don't do this cottage justice, you have to stay here to realise how lovely it is.

Nothing, it was exactly what we wanted and a beautiful place to stay.

"A home far from home"

10.0

Paddock View Cottage truly is a home away from home. We felt incredibly comfortable from the very first moment. The beds are superb (like sleeping on clouds) – we've rarely slept so well on vacation. The hostess, Liz, is attentive, warm, and simply perfect. The lovingly prepared welcome basket with local delicacies was a particularly nice touch – a wonderful gesture. The cottage itself is furnished with great attention to detail, and it truly lacks nothing. The private garden invites you to relax and makes the stay even more special. Our dog was also warmly welcomed and felt completely at ease – the private walking area was simply ideal for him. Furthermore, the accommodation is a perfect base for excursions in the surrounding area. We would come back anytime and can wholeheartedly recommend Paddock View Cottage.

"Wonderful stay, with a lovely host!"

10.0

We stayed in Liz's beautiful cottage for 4 nights as a family of 4 (our children shared one of the super-comfy-super-kings!) and we had a wonderful stay. Accommodation: The bedrooms were really spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfy beds! If you have a younger children who are used to sleeping in the dark I'd recommend bring a travel gro blind as a fair amount of cornish sunshine spills in through the blinds in the morning. The kitchen is really well appointed, and very clean. You have enough pots, pans, utensils etc. To cook family meals and properly self cater with a good size fridge freezer too. (There's a Sainsbury's not too far away). The living room is again very comfortable and clean, there's a smart tv and we found it easy to sign into our usual tv accounts. There was only one instance of lag when watching a movie but the Internet is generally very good considering the location. (We also got great phone signal). The bathroom is clean and spacious, and Liz thinks of everything, fluffy towels, flannels, shower gels, and even a mini first aid kit. The garden is huge! The photos don't do it justice, and it's completely secure for dogs (and kids!) The washing machine and washing line were god sends travelling with children to! Location: The cottage is a short drive from most places you'd want to visit, which is perfect if you like a quiet holiday and taking day trips to new places! Perranporth is a gorgeous beach and is about 10 - 15 minutes in the car, we also visited Falmouth (half hour), Hayle beach (half hour). So whilst you can't walk to a beach, it's a great base for exploring from and means you can avoid the hustle and bustle! There's also a garden centre 1 minute away, which is worth popping in for 'souvenir' type items that aren't the usual poorly made beachside items!

There is parking for 2 cars, although I would say to be mindful if you have a low profile car, the lane is very bumpy but it's also very short! Our golf was absolutely fine (and most family cars would be), but my husbands 3 series would have been abit too low and possibly had some bumper scrapes. Its worth a mention for other guests but there's nothing Liz could do about this!
