Blackhill Farm Cottage

Remote location, ample room.

We cleaned up prior to leaving as asked (including hoovering), under the cushions on the couch had obviously not been cleaned prior to our stay found all sorts under there, pedestal on the bathroom sink was very dirty and the ash bucket still contained ashes from a previous let. Downs stairs bedroom very chilly.

Great location, facilities and price. House was lovely, warm, bigger than expected and very comfortable for a trip away.

Only negative is the double beds could have been a bit comfier and they were very squeaky

well equipped, comfortable cottage. clear help and instructions. good communication from hosts.

Very quiet good for walking has everything you need it the cottage not to far away from shops if you are driving not over looking anything but fields

blind in toilet you can see through had to put a towel up to get a shower. Shower seals and grout were all mould and the glass let water all over the floor bathroom needs tlc .kitchen floor needs work my friends said the beds were very noisy oh and maybe leave a small spanner to adjust the seats on the bikes thanks for the stay 👍

The location is remote so it is very quiet and safe. At night the stars really shine brightly. The house is big and comfortable with everything we needed. The area around the house is a working farm and the landscape is with rolling hills and fields with sheep nearby is absolutely gorgeous.

The road to the house is a narrow country road and the last mile or so is gravel so plan on spending a few minutes getting into town. The big trucks/lorries coming through the narrow roads can be scary but each driver we encountered was considerate.
