Blackhill Farm Cottage

A wonderful place to spend a quiet relaxing week. The house is located about a mile down a (well surfaced) farm track in the middle of crop fields with only one other house in sight. It was a real luxury to have a whole house to ourselves! The kitchen was well equipped. Amazingly given the remote location TV and WiFi worked very well. Bed was comfortable. Whole house was spotlessly clean and warm despite the cool summer weather. There is a range of shops within a 15 minute drive so no need to feel isolated. The surrounding Perthshire countryside is very beautiful.

Very quiet and peaceful location in the countryside.

The cottage is in the most idyllic location in Highland Perthshire. In the middle of nowehere but 8 mins from the local town and 20 mins from Perth. David and Julia were excellent at communication, and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Beautiful cottage with stunning views. The road to get to it is quite long and a bit of a beaten track but is so worth it for such a peaceful experience.

Unfortunately, the bed was very creaky and a little uncomfortable, a new bed would certainly be helpful. The bbq had not been cleaned by the previous holiday makers, nor by the host for our arrival, we ended up grilling instead.

It was a lovely house and location. Lovely seeing the wild animals in the morning.

A few areas of improvement,mostly maintenance. Bath tap came off. Toilet seat was loose. Bed squeezed everytime someone moved. Kitchen floor badly damaged. The road to the property was a bit rough, but our little car survived.
