Swallowship Cottage

The property was very clean and comfortable form the start. Great views from the back of the property. Lovely outdoor area. All necessary equipment provided. Lovely homely feel

Tv played up from time to time as internet struggled to connect. Hair dryer also glowed when using but other than that amazing stay and property.

Clean , cosy well equipped cottage. In a good location for exploring Hadrians Wall and Northumberland.

The key didn’t fit in the key box with the wooden toggle The heating was a bit confusing Couldn’t find recycling bins

Even though it never stopped raining and cold liked location

Lack of straight forward bedside lamps , main lighting took a little getting used to

It was lovely and warm. The log fire is so cosy and there were tons of logs and kindling. The claw-footed bath is very chic. It was all nice and clean. It is very close to a footpath that leads up into Duke's wood, which is a super place for walks.

We have stayed here before and it is a lovely cottage. Maybe now due for a lick of paint downstairs. We live in a place overseas where we have to recycle rubbish and it would have been good to have some recycling instructions and bins. The back bedroom only has a ceiling lamp. It would be so much cosier and easier to read in bed if there were a bedside lamp! The parking sign in the allocated parking space seems to have vanished so we were concerned we wouldn't be able to find a place to park. However, we managed to squeeze in with the other cars. Perhaps the owners could reinstate the parking sign?

Beautiful designed property with wonderful views

There is no proper shower only a small slipper bath with a handheld shower. It looks great but is very impractical. Very difficult to get in & out of if you have any mobility problems & not very efficient if 4 of you have to shower/bathe in the morning
