Cosimina was such a sweet host. She gave us great directions for parking (which is VERY difficult) but doable. She was also very helpful with recommendations to some wonderful places to see and nice restaurants for our meals; even though there is a fully-equipped kitchen should you want to cook for yourself! This place is so delightful. Very unique and very well appointed. It has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay and room to relax after a long day exploring the Sassi. Location was ideal not only for where we had to park outside the Sassi, but within the old city itself.

Loved everything, but there is a steep staircase if you have issues with stairs.

The Property had everything you needed. Extremely nice to turn up to a property with a welcoming host who, had information to share on her town with had supplied tea coffee light breakfast. We loved our afternoons where we took the outside furniture to the front to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the moonrise.

All was good.

Spacious, clean, great location and nicely decorated with the bonus of two bathrooms and old fashioned coffee machines which you use on the gas hob. We loved it!

The location was very good. The the main town area was just down the road. I especially loved the cistern in the center of town. Matera is an amazing experience, but a physically demanding town.

The parking situation is a big challenge. The owner helped us find a parking spot and we stayed put for the time in Matera. It helps if one keeps luggage to a minimum. We expected tuk-tuks to take us around, but they are no longer in town. It is all walking.

This is an amazingly well appointed apartment. In one of the best locations in town. The view just outside the front door is incredible. The apartment is stunning. New kitchen two bathrooms, a perfect stay for a family. The host speaks Italian, but we were able to communicate in a mix of English and a little bit of French. She gave excellent restaurant recommendations as well. And, she checked in with us to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Matera was a highlight of our two week vacation in Italy, and this was our favourite apartment.

It was a bit tricky to find the host and get access to the apartment because of our mutual language barrier, but she was very responsive. The apartment in the Sassi and therefore you can’t access it directly by car. If driving, she will give an address in town to park and temporarily unload, but be aware it’s about a 3 to 4 minute walk through very cobbled streets to get from that location to the apartment. Something to be aware of if you have very heavy luggage with wheels. It’s difficult to find parking near the apartment as well. The host will give you many options, though.

This is a BEAUTIFUL apartment in a great location. It’s at the top of the sassi so it’s very easy to access all parts of the city on foot. It’s in a pretty little courtyard with the most amazing view of the city and the cathedral from the street just in front. Cosimina was a terrific hostess. We were driving and kept in communication regarding our arrival time and she was responsive and helpful and gave us tips on parking, etc. We parked in a 24hr garage just a few minutes away. It was an easy walk. The apartment itself is perfect. It’s spacious. It was warm and cozy and had everything we needed. It was even decorated for Christmas!! That was such a sweet touch. We had a truly magical Christmas in this lovely home.
