Carpenters Cottage - The Lakes!

The place exceeded our expectations. Exactly what we needed for our family of four. They provided a travel cot as well as a high chair and cutlery for small people which is not always the case with properties. We were very impressed. We will certainly return in the future.

The cottage was immaculate but also styled to a very high spec - my family were super impressed. The code access was easier than trying to find and remember keys all the time, beds were super comfy and everything you needed was available. When i stupidly left a much treasured watch behind, the cleaner handed it in immediately and Hannah posted it straight back to me. My husband and I will definitely return to Carpenter’s cottage and use it as our base in the lakes- could not recommend this cottage more highly.

Well maintained, comfy, clean home from home. Everything you need. Bathroom amazing!!! Lovely place to stay suited every need. Beds very comfy, Would go again!!!

The only thing I would say is even though the quilt is a double I felt like me and my partner fought over it and would have preferred a king quilt!! But the one we had was fine.

As the description already tells, parking in front of the house is not possible, but the parking place advised by the host is just 3 minutes walking distance, a cheap and safe place to park our car. If you are coming by train, the house is just around the training station.

Location was great - very handy for the centre of town. Accommodation was extremely well appointed and spotlessly clean.

Car parking could have been tricky. As it happens we were able to find a spot by the nearby church. Lack of proper recycling, with everything going into the general waste. We never got the TV to work.
