Kasbah cosy cottage Kendal

I liked the location, a short walk from the station and ten minutes into town. I enjoyed the quirkiness of the layout of the property.

The furnishings are not really to my taste, a bit dated.

The cottage was very clean comfortable and quiet. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

There was nothing to dislike!

Where to start. It’s more beautiful in real life than any of the photos can do justice to it. Quaint, cosy, homely, an oasis of calm!!! It felt like the volume got turned down in the world as soon as we stepped foot into the cottage. All amenities available, lovely touches of condiments, etc just like having your own holiday home. Anna always available and the perfect host. Loved every minute of it.

A gorgeous quirky cottage with real home comforts. It was a good place to decamp after a long road trio around England. The use of a washing machine was a bonus and having a kitchen was a treat. A great location fir exploring the lakes and the Dales and Anna was very attentive to our needs.

Lack of parking close by.

A lovely terraced cottage, with easy access to Kendal but still very quiet. The house was clean and with good facilities (dishwasher, WiFi, cleaning products, Freeview TV). It felt very homely and comfortable. The garden is a lovely sun trap. It is shared with a next door holiday home . There is a communal small metal gate (about 3ft) that a little dog could squeeze through. There is also a 3ft brick wall at the rear. Wonderful for the dogs to have a garden, but people need to be mindful that it's not the most secure for doggy escape artists.

The house is split over three levels with a gently curved staircase (ground floor is the kitchen and dining room, first floor is living room and bathroom, top floor is the bedroom). So the multiple levels may not be the easiest for people with mobility needs. For most people though, it's a wonderful layout! Parking was a little awkward. We needed to walk 5-10 minutes most days to access the cottage from our parking. However it wouldn't put us off returning.

Location was great only 10 mins walk from town.Did not need to use the car, good public transport for visiting the lakes.The cottage was warm and toasty.Well equipped kitchen, bathroom had a very powerful shower. Plenty of hot water.

Very busy road next to house so could not get parked outside to unload the car.Very noisy could hear people talking and walking across the floor from next door.Felt the kitchen and living room were very dark, had to have lighting on in the kitchen all the time certainly not as bright as the photos showed.Settee was not very comfortable had to sit on a cushion to stop it sinking in.

Loved how comforting and warm the property was , the cleanliness and the design of the home made it a far more amazing stay - we loved the colour and vibrancy in many of the rooms. Me and my fiancé were happy to find a comfortable place that was be try affordable within the lakes.

Excellent location and so easy for a walk into town and also the railway station was so close by.the cottage itself was spot on in every way it was like being in your own home because everything you could want was provided.excellent communication from the hosts and we will definitely be back next year and stay longer as well.the dogs had a great time because just about everywhere in kendal and windermere were super dog friendly 😀
