Studio Sto Antonio Alfama

Studio apartment is located in the Alfama quaters, there few restaurants nearby and a nice bakery few steps away.

When I arrived outside the studio there was a strong smell of urine, to my surprised I noticed that the public toilets were just adjacent to the property. Despite a couple of windows, inside the property it is very dark and I needed to have the light on the whole time, which wasn't ideal as the entrance door had windows with no curtains, only barely frosted glass. When I went to bed the first night, I started feeling itchy. I checked under the sheet and to my horror I saw that the matress cover had lots of hair and didn't look clean at all. Under the mattress cover was even worst. There were two matressess and the thin one at the top and lots of stains (one quite big) and more hair and what it looked like breadcrumbs of some sort. I had to remove the top mattress and I slept for the whole duration of the stay over the duvet cover in the hope that at least that was clean. I contacted one the owners who said he would have contacted the cleaning company to disinfect the mattress. They only took away the filthy thin mattress, left the dirty mattress cover on and remade the bed. The shower is also an issue, you can't really regulate the temperature. It is either schorching hot or too cold, and it drips all the time. I should have checked the bad reviews before booking!

Lovely apartment , all the little touches were appreciated , and the facilities all worked well , so that you could be quite independent in the apartment...very enjoyable stay and great location

Prachtige plek midden in het oude centrum.

De badkamer was richting net iets te klein en we hadden wat geworstel met de douche

La promiscuité d’une merveilleuse pâtisserie-café typique à 1 minute de marche, des points de vue ( miradouro)à 6-12 minutes de marche wow. Hôtel avec réponse rapide et beaucoup d’informations sur les choses autour. Cafetière au percolateur avec café 😃

The location is AMAZING! The premises were clean and had everything we wanted.
