Lytton Tree Lodge Near Southwold

Location is great short walk or drive into southwold

Difficult to exercise our dog

Beautifully clean and well thought out accommodations

So clean and comfortable

Booked 3 lodges 3,4 & 7 for family meet-up including a dog. All the lodges were extremely well appointed. We had lodge 3 which had comfortable lounge with kitchen, bedroom and bathroom off. All rooms a good size and well equipped and finished to a high standard. It should also be noted that all areas were spotlessly clean! Kitchen had fridge, microwave, electric hob, kettle and ‘bean to cup’ coffee machine. Bathroom was a wet room as this was, I assume, to make it more accessible. I’m not a great fan of wet rooms but this one worked well so as not to soak the entire floor with the shower. You didn’t get wet feet using the loo after someone had used the shower! Bonus!! Bedroom comfy and had additional items in large built in wardrobe- additional heater (lodge had central heating radiators), fan, ironing board and iron, etc…. Everything you could want for a short or longer stay all year round I would say. Ample parking outside and very quiet! Host kept in touch via text and emails - really good friendly comms, but not invasive. I would not hesitate to recommend, or book again. Photo’s taken on checkout!

Bed was a bit firmer than I’m used to - but that’s nitpicking. Nothing not to like!

Great accomodation. Plenty of space and loved the front & back doors with bistro table and chairs to relax. Close enough to Southwold to walk or drive in a just a couple of minutes but really quiet & peaceful. Gavin was very helpful with local knowledge. Would definitely go again.

Room was very large and everything was available to make a stay comfortable, easy check in and no issues with the remote key collection. Location was a 25min walk to Southwold so perfect for the 1 night stop we made to visit Adnams.

Perhaps a toaster in the room would be a bonus?

This was a repeat stay, we like the accommodation and will no doubt stay again. The self catering arrangements allow us to start the day when we please. The accommodation is private and self contained.

We had no problems, The location is a little removed from Southwold beach, but if you are in no rush and become familiar with the area, their are plenty of nice walks to other areas without repeating the walk to the town,
