mariella welcomed us as soon as we arrived at the apartment. she showed us around and told us everything about matera. she had a table full of snacks and a fridge full with water and snacks for us to use. and a smart house so we could play music in the house. everything was very clean and the massive rooftop terrace is super nice! it’s great if you come by car because you can park in the street and you can walk to the old town.

The location was perfect! The place was cute and good value for the price; private terrace is awesome. The host was very nice and welcoming and made us feel like we could call her at anytime for anything.

The beds are a little uncomfortable; very hard beds.

This apartment made our jaw drop. It‘s modern, very clean and beautifully furnished with a nice terrace. The first thing that caught our eye was the promised breakfast – there were a ton of croissants, cookies (sweet and salty), cakes, basically we were set for days. Mariella, our hostess, was very friendly and eager to tell us all about Matera, even with the language barrier. She tried her best and made us feel like at home. The location of the place is great as well – you only need to walk a few meters to enter the center. Overall, my family and I would thoroughly recommend staying in this penthouse.
