I Tre Portali Luxury Suites

Location is good.

The air conditioning is dripping water on the bed, the son couldn’t sleep well the whole night , toilet lock is not working even after fixed.

The suite was perfect! Location was incredible (leaving the front door would never get old!), the rooms were far bigger than expected, chic and spotless, and included lots of extras which we loved. The hot tub and shower only elevate the experience further. Check-in could not have been simpler, and the hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive. Would recommend this suite to anyone visiting Matera in a heartbeat!

very clean, big shower & bathtub

it‘s pretty cold, tv setup is very complicated and dated, wifi doesn’t work 90% of the time and if very slow, internet router and tv box too close to bed (electromagnetic waves)

What an outstanding stay! This place is even better than the photos suggest. It’s in an excellent location with a superb view, with no tour groups standing right outside and no steep steps, like with other hotels. Also unlike most other Matera rooms which are in caves and have no windows or natural light, the bottom floor Deluxe Room is in an old refurbished building but has four doors/windows, which all open and provide light and fresh air. It is also very tastefully appointed, with chic furniture and very good lighting design. It feels very spacious, warm and comfortable- a very good bed, two large sofas for lounging, a beautiful bathroom with a good shower. There’s also a little kitchenette with espresso maker, fridge and microwave and a dining table so we could make meals. Victor is also a great host and was very helpful. 10/10!

Super location very easy to reach. The bathroom with the huge bath and the stone arches is really beautiful. The suite is big and stylish. Vittorio the owner is very kind and the communication with him very easy. Very good to visit Matera.

I didn’t realize that was more of an entire unit rental than a hotel suite, so I was a but disappointed to realize that for that price, room service (cleaning) was not included. My bad probably, I should have read better.

Everything was perfect. The place is beautiful, better than the photos. Grate location. Really recommend.

-Ideal location in Matera at Piazza San Pietro Caveoso from where everything is easily accessible to visit. -Comfortable bed (at least one thing we were happy with in this apartment)

-Our reservation promised a terrace which could be seen on the picture provided by the host. However, for the apartment on street level which we got, there is no terrace. The so called Suite is basically a dark cage you get. If you open the door every tourist from the 'Piazza' looks right into the appartment (see picture below). Same with two side windows of whom one has a closed grid (see picture below). There are just shutters no curtains in the bed- & living room. Thus it's completely dark when you close them or if left open everybody can look into your bedroom. It's a complete 'no go' when you appreciate some privacy. -TV beamer did not work. The only cupboard existing was closed. The promised safe not in the apartment nor the sauna. -The communication with the host got quickly hostile once he realized we were complaining because of the lack of terrace which was promised in the rental agreement (he even wanted to get us out by booking another hotel for us which we kindly rejected). There is absolutely no service. When arrived nobody was there. In a spooky way the main door was opened for us via remote control. We never saw the host appearing nor excusing himself for the missing terrace. -The breakfast is poor and loveless with only some packed rusk and jam (see picture below). -Overall, no way of luxury suites nor professional guest treatment. Moreover, many heavy stains on wall prove of a humiditiy problem (see pictures below). We informed booking.com about the sham with the terrace and the dark cage atmosphere. Had we known all that, we had never booked this tourist trap.
