This might arguably be the best room in Matera. The location was right on the Piazza San Pietro, overlooking the ravines and our door opening onto the Piazza, church and cliffs. The room was large with an sitting area to receive guests or make into extra sleeping arrangements if indicated to the proprietor. communication was smooth and any questions or needs were answered by text on what's app. Restaurants and shopping in the immediate vacinity as well. The owner helped us set up transportation to and from our front door to Bari airport for a fee that was well worth it after arriving from several international flights. Just a beautiful and fantastic stay overall. Highly recommended.
