Carre Retreat with private hot tub

Lodge itself was clean and comfortable.

Hot tub was filthy and not Located as shown in the pictures. The host failed to take responsibility, and only agreed to refund half our stay.

Lovely place, the beds are so comfortable, honestly they're the best beds I've ever slept in (apart from my own). The place is clean and tidy, and was everything we needed for our trip away.The location is great there are loads of great places whatever you are looking for. Northumberland have some good places for walks or if you're after beach/sea Amble is a nice Harbour Village where you can get fish and chips. The coast line is a beautiful drive with some amazing views. I couldn't recommend this place enough and we hope to be back soon.

Cleanliness, it was disgusting. Couldn’t use shower, had to clean toilet. Had to put blankets down before being able to sit on sofa. Had to clean dishes. No where to hang clothes, every cupboard was full of outdoor cushions. Put suitcases on top of small bed, legs on bed broke they were like garden chair legs. Was supposed to be a sofa bed tha was broke. This was a Christmas stay! Hot tub had been moved from decking on to thick muddy area at the side next to dirty stream….. I have tried to reply to your comment. Here are the pictures I sent booking.com who tried to contact you va phone & email. This was a £747 Xmas stay. I wanted something very special for my 4 year old whose bday was Boxing Day. I have stage 4 cancer. I have problems with my spine due to this n was left without anywhere to sleep. Which has made my pain significantly worse. The sofa bed was broke but was in no state to be slept on. You advertise this as a lodge not a caravan!!! I am still taking this further with booking. Com who have these pictures and agree given the special occasion n situation that it was 100% unacceptable. Due to being in so much pain I was left unable to move bin bags. My dog was not n furniture. Also as I had to clean on arrival & booking.com tried numerous times to contact yourself with all photos and my situation I was beyond furious. I thought I left it how I found it. I’m also contacting trading standards.

Facility was perfectly clean. Hot tube ready. Very good equipped. Me and family had very nice little break. Highly recommend.

Great location

No towels ( but knew that). No lights around the hot tub. Poor tv reception

Very comfortable...warm and clean. Great having 2 bathrooms.

It seems on the advertised pictures that the hot tub was on the decking. However... its actually down some steps to the side of the lodge... which we weren't keen on. We feel the photographs need updating to show this.
