Drake Cottage

Spotlessly clean cottage and tastefully decorated. Luxurious bathroom. Cottage is close to everything and lots of open fields to walk your dog. Thank you to the hosts for the complimentary bottle of wine.

Small thing, but it would have been nice to have had some tools for the woodburning fire. We built a fire every night but had to use kitchen utensils to poke at the embers and move logs around!

The cottage is in a very peaceful quiet village, the perfect place to wind down after a busy day sightseeing. The beautiful bathroom with roll top style bath was a touch of luxury to relax in. There was another roll top style bath in the master bedroom as well and the towels were very good quality. Drake cottage is a home from home with everything you require, it has been decorated tastefully and has a warmth that makes you feel so welcome. The beds were comfortable with nice bedding and we had a nice little gated patio area outside with outdoor furniture to eat, this was also very welcome for our little fur baby. The hosts did not bother us and left us to our own devices which we appreciated whilst letting us know they were on site should we need them. Would not hesitate to stay again, thank you for our wonderful stay.

Great location, superb facilities, very peaceful and relaxing. A great base to explore Whitby and the surrounding area. The outside space was a bonus to enjoy the summer evening sun.

Beautiful cottage with plenty of space for 4 people. Lots of luxurious touches including 2 roll top baths. Quiet location with easy access to beaches and towns.

Key holder a tad fiddly but nothing major.
