It was local to everything

It could have been cleaner. There was cobwebs round the windows and carpets not cleaned properly

The location was absolutely brilliant. Both bathrooms are lovely and the place has a lovely quirky feel to it. Fresh bedding and towels.

A few things that we felt would improve it. firstly, whenever we stay in whitby, we like to cook breakfast before heading out for the day, but unfortunately, the oven had no grill pan and also no frying pan in the property, so we couldn't cook. Secondly, although the bathrooms are immaculate and the bedding etc all spotless, the cleaning standards with things like the wood flooring downstairs and the carpets upstairs could be improved with a good deep clean. Downstairs seemed like it had been swept but not mopped and our socks got instantly dirty from walking around. The carpets had stains on in the bedrooms however the carpets are nice,thick and look relatively new so it is just a cleaning issue. All in all we all agreed we would stay again because we enjoyed the property however we said we would come equipt with some cleaning products to give it the once over before unpacking. We just wanted to feed that back to the owner because if you are using a cleaning agency, they are letting you down.

It was a pretty cottage inside 1st floor bed was very comfortable

The property was in a filthy alley way Most of the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. Key box was left open by the people that dropped off the extra parking permit

Cleaning equipment all on view under the stairs and extremely untidy!

Location was excellent, property was warm and obviously freshly refurbished

Being picky , bed on 2nd floor was a little uncomfortable. Being very picky !

Close walk to all amenities

Living room was freezing with draft from door and windows. You could smell people smoking outside in the house. Gap under the door is massive. Water in upstairs taps is dangerously hot, I burnt myself a number of times and there are no hot water warnings. Bedside tables had food wrappers and broken mirrors in them - very dangerous! Stairs had not been hoovered. Cleaning materials just shoved near gap under stairs looks awful. Sofas in living room were tiny and very uncomfortable. Bed were rock hard.

The cottage was lovely and exactly what I expected for the price. The beds are comfy and the whole cottage was clean. It was perfect for myself, partner and in-laws. Parking display was provided too and it was a short walk from the cottage to our car.

Nothing really 8/10 overall in my opinion. I think however if you are planning on spending more time inside the cottage then things such as the couches being a little bit hard and the lack of door to hide the broom cupboard may be off putting.
