Lovely decor - a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Lots of useful things in the kitchen and helpful guest information.

Very good location in rural setting but close to amenities. Quiet despite being on a road - no traffic noise. Lovely big bedroom and very homely sitting room. Loved having a hot bath after a day's walking. Thoughtful welcome bucket of snacks and a bottle of wine - thank you!

We had trouble boosting the heating so it was a bit chilly and we would have welcomed more explicit instructions. Did not mind the small kitchen but would have liked an empty cupboard or a couple of shelves to store our provisions.

Fantastic cottage for our stay for us and our little dog! The cottage was in a great location for exploring Whitby and places along the coast, peaceful surroundings and lovely walks and it had everything that we needed! Such a lovely cosy place to come home to at the end of a long day out! We will definitely be back!

The cottage was beautifully furnished with lots of nice dog walks nearby. The host left a hamper with local products which added a nice personal touch.

It would be good to have shampoo/shower gel - just something basic and refillable in case people forget to bring.

The decor was beautiful and tge little touches was lovely.

Was in a very busy road and was a bit worried our dog would get out onto it. Also if we didn't have the log fire on it turned very cold and we wasn't in control of tge heating to turn it up

The property is furnished and equipped to a high standard and very quaint and homely. An outstanding comfy stay and would highly recommend. Perfect location to explore North Yorkshire with lovely walks on the doorstep and a lovely bakery and butcher in the town too.

Lovely decor and very pretty and comfortable

The location is lovely and the small gardens are very well done and ok for two small dogs with great walks near by but the road is quite busy and ruins the ambience of sitting outside.

Charming little cottage - tastefully furnished and well equipped. Nice welcome pack appreciated. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio in the sun for lunch on one of our days. Good location for coast and North York moors. We enjoyed a Goathland walk incorporating Mallyan spout and walking from Sandsend to Whitby and back. There are lots of lovely walks to choose from. There was a very nice bakery on the main road and also a butcher and deli.

Not a major issue but a bit more guidance on using the electric heater boost function would have been good- and that the heaters switched off at 9pm- we worked it out though- needed to use it as the lounge cooled down very quickly as the heat is lost up the open staircase.

Facilities were top draw, lovely wood burner, well equipped for the perfect weekend away. The bed and furnishings were extremely comfortable and of good quality. Would definitely return

If there was anything which we really didn’t mind was parking was just down the road.

The only thing wrong was that we were given the wrong code we could not get in . Until the owner contacted us with the right code. But the saving grace was that she was lovely and so apologetic.
