Hideaway Cottage

A perfect little cottage in a lovely location. Well equipped Peaceful away from it all

Mattress was very springy and uncomfortable. Had to lie on bedroom floor on sofa cushions for 3 nights Not great for people who have a bad back and need a firm mattress.

Great location, lovely cottage, very comfy bed, good cmmunication with owner.

A bit dusty and lots of spider web .

Unable to stay in the cottage due to locals. We parked outside the cottage to unpack cases and dog (as per arrival instructions) The road was not blocked but a local person in a car was claiming he could not pass and starting shouting, but then then managed to drive around our vehicle twice! He then came back on foot accompanied by another man both acting in an aggressive and confrontational manner. We feared that had we stayed this individual or his colleague may have further disrupted our stay or worse cause damage to our vehicle so we left immediately. Obviously no fault of the cottage owners that we only got as far as the front doormat.

We loved everything about this stunning little cottage tucked away in such a beautiful location! It was so cosy and peaceful

There's nothing not to like about this gorgeous place at all, but it's essential to be able to walk distances up hills, or have your own transport to get into whitby as its quite hilly and a 5-10 min drive but there is a park and ride close by

We loved the ease of finding the property, everything we needed was there to hand. Very comfortable sofa and bed. Very well equipped kitchen..

Towels could do with being bigger and some kind of heating in the kitchen is needed.

Good size & contained everything we needed. Lovely location with river nearby
