Baronda Guest House

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay! The host was incredibly welcoming and kind and even invited us to join a family party. The rooms are spacious and include a living room. Highly recommended!

Well kept grounds, simple but you will have everything you'd need. Even water filler tanks in room. Staff was super helpful and nice, I definitely recommend to stay at Barondas. Little bit of from centers huzzle, which was definite plus but not too far from the airport or harbor.

The hosts gave us a warm and hearty welcome. Communication before the stay was easy. The hosts arranged us an early morning breakfast before our morning flight and a taxi to the airport. The bedrooms had air conditioning. The guest house is beside a mosque, so the prayers can be heard quite well in the apartment.

Great and hospitable local owners, very clean, so much space, comfortable beds, quiet place.

Big place with two bedrooms (I only needed one), excellent AC in the bedrooms, good shower pressure. For the price it's excellent! The host is a great communicator and was super responsive to my requests, including helping me acquire some painkillers. He also supplied an excellent dinner at a reasonable price. Bed was comfy. Nice clean towels.

There are mosquitoes inside the place. And the place looks a little tired. (but it's cheap!) Location is far from anything. Getting a taxi to there from the ferry is more expensive. And there's nowhere you can go, but it's a great option for an overnight before an early trip to the airport. Also, be sure to ask about the included breakfast if you're leaving early. I paid the host for a 6am ride to the airport, expecting my breakfast would show up with him, but there was no breakfast. I didn't ask in advance so didn't complain, but was surprised.

Everything was organized, also the taxi service. I had diner there, it was very good.

Nice and clean place for staying some nights in Sorong. The owner is really nice and helpful if you need something.

Very sweet and responsive couple running the place

Although it is a short ride to town, it feels pretty remote and is difficult to get a taxi or walk to get food and locals are less used to tourists and so you might get followed by kiddos. Very friendly locals
