Detached one bedroom house near to castle and cathedral

The accommodation was close to the castle and cathedral. Had everything that we needed. Enjoyed our stay.

The shower was a bit unpredictable. It was very hot and then went cold, but it wouldn't stop us from staying again

The house was in a great location to explore Lincoln, and was very clean and well-decorated.

Not a problem but I don't like key boxes and also was not happy with the spiral staircase especially with the shower room downstairs Would also have preferred gas central heating The renovation of the property is to a very high spec and I understand the use of the staircase and heating situation . None of this is of any interest to future guests just wanted to pass my thoughts on to the owners

Great property. Well located around 10-15 minutes walk from castle, cathedral, shops, bars and restaurants. The house is cosy and was perfect for the two of us. Parking was easy and free outside the house. Great host who responded to messages very quickly. A minor issue with the house was communicated to us ahead of arrival and all resolved.

The house clean, my only concern was the shower in the bathroom. Just needs new silicone around the edges. This was very discoloured and looked dirty, also there was black mold on the ceiling. If this was addressed it would have been a 10/10 review from me.

Hot water in shower scalding. Maybe good to leave particular instructions for this.

Everything you need is at hand. Lovely decor, very clean and comfortable. Free parking outside which is always a bonus. Thoughtful touch leaving milk and loaf. Excellent communication with the owners. Close to all amenities. I have stayed here before and the experience is always lovely and will certainly be returning.

There is nothing i didn't like. I know reports made in the comments book about shower needing fixing as running scalding hot. However, I took it from the holder and let it run close to the drain so that I could adjust the temperature accordingly.

Quirky and very clean and well presented. Everything we needed. Location was good overall within a terraced side street - about 15min walk to the minster square and pretty Bailgate area.

Unfortunately the plumbing let the property down. The electric shower was very temperamental and there was a fairly strong smell from under the kitchen sink. The host was informed and was going to get a plumber in when we had left. Hopefully sorted now.
