Detached one bedroom house near to castle and cathedral

The home is tastefully decorated, neat and clean. Very close proximity to shops and places of interest. As a solo traveller I had many exploratory walks around the area. The most memorable was the walk to Boultham Park. The views along the river are superb. I highly recommend Bruneswold Lodge for parkrun tourists visiting Yarborough Leisure Centre, it is a pleasant warm-up walk/jog to parkrun! Bruneswold Lodge was the perfect home for my 4 night stay!

Great, compact space. Nice, modern & tasteful. Parking next to the house but can be tricky as a very busy area. Lovely, large & comfy bed. Milk & bread left for the guests 👍.

Shower is dodgy: You have to try & adjust the settings so you don’t get burnt by the hot water. Now clothes drier/rack - not all garments can go in the dryer, and it was in the description on booking.com to be in the apartment. Very steep, rounded staircase to the bedroom. Not for people who have difficulties walking

Perfect location for visiting castle and cathedral. Beautifully presented. Very comfortable bed. Compact, but big enough for a couple.

Bit concerned about local parking, just due to limited places; we parked 5 minutes away at The Lawn (£10/day) just because it’s a pain if the rental car gets knocked. Great shower, but we found it impossible to not get water outside the cubicle. Not an issue in itself, but while the house is technically “detached” it is really part of a residential terraced street.
